How to play Hotline
Hotline is played on a 5×3 grid with 30 lines + Hotline: matching symbols must land from left to right on an active payline.
- Set your bet with the stake control; the bet covers every line or way, so there is nothing else to configure.
- Spin, or use autoplay with a loss limit.
- Watch for scatters, which usually start the free spins round.
- Check the paytable in the game menu: it shows symbol values in coins or in dollars for your current bet.
Hotline features and free spins
What happens on the reels in Hotline:
- Hotline extra lines with expanding wilds
- Free spins with active Hotlines
- Retriggers
The free spins round is where Hotline earns its max win, so the base game mostly keeps the balance ticking over between features.
Hotline RTP
Hotline has a default RTP of 96.95%. Over a very large number of spins, that means C$96.95 returned for every C$100 bet on average; any single session can be far above or below that. SlotCatalog lists 97.04%.
Casinos choose which RTP version to run. Open the game's information or help screen before you play: the RTP is listed there, and it is the figure that applies at that casino.

Volatility and max win
Hotline has medium volatility: a balance of regular small wins and occasional bigger features, which makes it a steady choice for longer sessions.
