Who we are

North 5 is an independent comparison site for Canadian online casino players. We collect each casino's published terms, licences, payment methods and stated payout times, check Ontario and Alberta registration against the iGaming Ontario and AGLC registries, and score every casino out of 10 with one public formula. The site covers casinos, bonuses, provinces, payment methods, games and player guides.

What we cover

We review casinos that accept Canadian players: registered sites in Ontario and Alberta, provincial government sites and offshore casinos licensed abroad. For each one we publish a review with its licence, bonus terms, payments, games and score breakdown. We also keep guides on the law, tax, wagering, withdrawals, identity checks, licences, complaints and responsible gambling.

How we collect data

Casino data comes from each casino's published terms and pages, regulator registries and game providers' published figures such as RTP and volatility. Bonus amounts are not shown for Ontario and Alberta, where public bonus advertising is not allowed. When a casino changes its terms and we can verify the change, we update the review.

What we do not claim

Our scores measure published terms. We do not claim to have deposited or played at every casino we list, and stated payout times are the casinos' own figures. A high score is a well-informed starting point, not a guarantee of any particular withdrawal.

How we make money

Casinos pay us a commission when readers sign up through our links. Two casinos have featured placements at the top of our lists, some are placed lower than their score, and editorial adjustments are shown in the score breakdown. Everything else follows the formula explained in How we score casinos.

Responsible gambling

Gambling should be entertainment you pay for, not a way to make money. Every page lists free help lines, and our responsible gambling guide explains deposit limits, self-exclusion and where to get support in every province. You must be 19 or older to gamble online in most provinces, or 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
